What is Yoga Nidra?
Yoga Nidra is an incredible and subtle practice to nourish the mind and body.
Nidra - meaning sleep, refers to reaching this yogic sleep state or the Alpha brainwave state in which the body is at full relaxation. Research shows that this Alpha state can be even more restful than sleeping itself.
The practice helps to bring about more balance and harmony and has the potential to create a greater sense of awareness for the individual with a regular practice. Yoga Nidra helps to unwind, by taking time out and allowing yourself to be guided through verbal instructions letting the body and the mind relax deeper.
We run regular Yoga Nidra classes that consist of a brief and subtle movement practice followed by approximately 40-45mins of guided relaxation Yoga Nidra.
